Drug price increase explained.
Am Pharm 1986 Apr; NS26:(4):5-6
Abstract:
Drug price increases are discussed as resulting from increased investment by pharmaceutical manufacturers in research and development; since 1980, the industries’ research and development investment has doubled from 2 to 4 billion dollars. It is noted that prescription drug prices have increased much less than the Consumer Price Index since 1967.
