Generic industry panel offers 32 steps for cleaning up scandal
Drug Topics 1990 Dec 10; 134:61, 64

Abstract:

The recommendations of the committee established by the Generic Pharmaceutical Industry Association made to the Food and Drug Administration to restore public confidence in generic prescription drug makers and their regulators are discussed. Some of the recommendations suggest including the name of the manufacturers, the name of the firm with the marketing rights, the repackager and the distributor on the drug label and providing each unit of the drug with a code or symbol to identify the active drug substances and the manufacturer.
