Abstract:

This article discusses the findings of a panel of 40 experts established by the Office of Health Economics in England to forecast the progress in pharmaceuticals which may be expected by 1990. Forecasts for various disease entities are discussed, changes in the pharmaceutical industry are predicted and a timetable of forecasts is presented to summarize the predictions.
