Abstract:
The risks and benefits of advertising and publicizing prescription drugs directly to the public are discussed, and strategies for the effective promotion of a new drug by the industry are given. Publicity timetables, media advertising, advertising budgets, and the setting up of programs for evaluating public relations and publicity are discussed.
