Nonprescription drug sales up in 82

Abstract:

A 12% increase in sales of nonprescription drugs in 1982, the types of products that exhibited the greatest increases, and the major factors involved in this growth were reported. The factors that were cited as major contributors to the increases included changes in advertising, the increased popularity of self-medication, continued introduction of multi-system products and the availability of former prescription products as nonprescription medications.
