Public awareness: assessment of the public response to a display illustrating community pharmacists' roles and services
Canadian Pharmaceutical Journal 1984 Jun; 117:272-275

Abstract:

The effectiveness of a public display on nonprescription drugs, prescription drugs, pharmacy services, and common diseases on increasing public awareness about the overall role of the pharmacist is described. The public is generally unaware of the skills and services offered by pharmacists. The display had a slight effect on the public regarding the role of the pharmacist. Displays of this type can help enhance public opinion of the pharmacist, although the actions of individual pharmacists in their own practices are probably the most important factor in changing public opinion.
