Predicting product potential
Pharmaceutical Executive 1985 Feb; 5:31-32, 35
Abstract:
An alternative approach for predicting a new pharmaceutical product’s potential with prescription data and the dynamics of its first yr or 2 of performance is presented. The empirical findings are used in a forecasting system that can be useful for making prelaunch forecasts of product performance based on product characteristics, therapeutic class, and proposed marketing effort; and to provide early postlaunch forecast updating and tracking.
