Abstract:

A refill reminder program for omeprazole (Prilosec) and disease specific compliance education programs for gastroesophageal reflux disease and Helicobacter pylori associated duodenal ulcer, developed by the pharmaceutical company Astra Merck, which are intended to address the problem of prescription noncompliance are described. It was noted that the refill reminder program for omeprazole was successful.
