Abstract:

A National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) analysis of earned discount plans sponsored by various pharmaceutical companies (Wyeth-Ayerst, Glaxo Wellcome, Parke-Davis, Pfizer), which are based on a pharmacy’s ability to shift market share of a company product, is presented. The programs were recently offered to community pharmacies as part of a settlement to a class action, drug price fixing lawsuit brought by community pharmacies.
