Regulation of pharmaceutical promotion in the twenty-first century

Abstract:
A redesign of the drug promotion regulatory system of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to provide health professionals with truthful and balanced information in the twenty-first century is discussed, and the current regulatory framework of the FDA, cultural changes that pose new challenges for FDA regulators, and an innovative framework for future pharmaceutical promotion regulation are considered.
