Recent progress in drug advertising.
Can Fam Physician 1997 Jun; 43:1041-2:
Abstract:
The editorial by Lexchin on direct-to-consumer advertising of prescripition drugs used data that was out-of-date and his use of the quality of references in journal advertisements as a marker of poor regulation is inappropriate. The Pharmaceutical Advertising Advisory Board will continue to improve its monitoring of drug advertising.
