Potential for bias in economic analyses
New England Journal of Medicine 1991; 325:1384-1385
Abstract:
Collaborative research agreements with industry should ensure freedom to publish the results irregardless of the outcome. Promulgating prohibitive standards for conflict of interest in outcomes and effectiveness research would be premature. The teams conducting the research and their institutions should determine a process for managing conflict.
