Abstract:
Burroughs Wellcome is selling the combination of trimethoprim/sulphamethoxazole/guaiphenesin/ammonium chloride (Expectran) in Pakistan for respiratory tract infections. MaLAM questions the evidence for combining guaiphenesin and ammonium chloride with the antibiotics trimethoprim/sulphamethoxazole.
