DOH proposes regulating of drug ads
Drug Monitor 1987 Aug; 2:(8):3-5

Abstract:

The Department of Health has proposed an administrative order that would ban the advertising of prescription drugs on radio, television and the print media. Currently, the only regulation being enforced is a code of ethics formulated by the Drug Association of the Philippines which prohibits the promotion of drugs through advertising, therefore ads that are now seen are unethical but not illegal. There is no check on the quality of the information in the ads.
