Roussel convicted of misleading promotion
Lancet 1987; 1:113-114
Abstract:
Roussel was found guilty under the Medicines Act for statements it made in drug advertisements about Surgam. This is the first time that provisions of the Medicines Act relating to promotion have been seriously tested in the courts. Up to now the Medicines Division of the Department of Health has not made any coherent attempt to monitor promotion.
