Abstract:

(Limited to parts of article dealing with promotion.) Before and after Pfizer launched its nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug Feldene (piroxicam) its promotion for the product has run afoul of the Food and Drug Administration. Pfizer has also tried to intervene to stop publication of medical studies critical of its product.
