Wilmshurst P.
Policing the drug industry.
Lancet 1986 Nov 29; 2:(8518):1280-1

Abstract:

The Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry refused to investigate a complaint about Sterling-Winthrop and tried to put pressure on the Guardian newspaper not to run a story about the conduct of clinical trials run by Sterling. The self-policing function of the ABPI does not appear to be working.
