The Lifetime experience with prescription drug advertising exposed to consumers

Abstract:
The Lifetime Medical Television network has been showing advertising for prescription drugs over its cable station which consumers can access. This article presents the results of a survey of consumers and doctors who have seen these ads and argues that direct-to-consumer advertising will be a positive development.
