Some dodgy claims for pirbuterol (Exirel)--a beta 2 agonist.
Drug Ther Bull. 1984 Sep 10; 22:(18):70-2
Abstract:
Pfizer, the maker of pirbuterol claims superiority in its advertisements on the basis of its longer duration of action and its greater selectivity for lung tissue. The claim of superiority is not justified. Pfizer has also been found guilty of violating the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry’s Code of Practice.
