Research, critical thinking and the pharmaceutical industry
Nova Scotia Medical Bulletin 1983; 62:66
Abstract:
The pharmaceutical industry must be suspected as a negative factor leading doctors away from critical judgement. Physicians are bombarded by promotional material which somewhat overwhelms their critical judgement. Doctors are also encouraged to participate in often uncontrolled, poorly managed and often promotional “research†efforts.
