Abstract:

One of the authors collected all unsolicitied mail for a one year period. Pharmaceutical advertisements and controlled circulation medical journals, newspapers and audiotapes accounted for just under half of the unsolicited mail. Canadian physicians seem to receive less junk mail than those in the United States.
