Abstract:

Boots Pharmaceuticals has launched a direct-to-consumer advertising campaign to promote Rufen, its brand of ibuprofen. The campaign is based on the price of Rufen compared to other brands of ibuprofen. If physicians switch drugs based on patients’ requests it may be dangerous.
