Drug company advertising to the public
JAMA 1982; 248:1163
Abstract:
Doctors are being employed to go across the U.S. holding conferences for reporters about new products. This practice may be the result of not allowing companies to advertise directly to the public. A barrage of propaganda may be unleashed on the public under the guise of patient education or public information.
