Welcome to Pharma Phacts!

Whether you feel strongly about pharma advertising or know nothing about it at all, you have made a good choice to visit Pharma Phacts and find out some phacts.

Pharma Phacts is a group set up in March 2009 by a group of medical students from 19 universities who thought that medical students needed to know more aware about the pharmaceutical industry and its interactions with the medical profession. We had our official launch at GHC ‘09 in July.

The aim of the campaign is to provide medical students with evidence and resources on the effects of pharmaceutical advertising on us, medical students and who will we become in the future; doctors. Pharma Phacts is not here to make your mind up for you. What you do with the evidence is up to you.

Check out the evidence, send us a question, or join the pledge. Whatever you do, open your eyes and your ears to the effects of pharma advertising.

Send us an email if you want to get more involved in Pharma Phacts, to find out what Pharma Phacts is doing at your medical school, or just ask for more information. We are always looking for more people to get involved. This website needs more material on it currently, we’d love your help.

Pharma Phacts are a medical student group committed to raising awareness about pharmaceutical companies and their interactions with medical students.
