Abstract:

The legal liability, administration and regulations affecting a new prescription drug sampling service developed by the pharmaceutical industry for physicians, which involves providing the physicians with cards for ordering samples and prewritten prescriptions for samples to be dispensed free of charge to the patient by community pharmacists are described and discussed.
