Pharmaceutical Journal 1972 Jan 15; 208:42-47
Abstract:
The role and status of the pharmacist in community, hospital, and industrial pharmacy practice in Great Britain, are discussed with reference to the lack of recognition that the pharmacist receives from his professional colleagues and the government. The relationship between the pharmaceutical industry and the prescribing physician is discussed with reference to drug costs, government attitudes toward increasing prescription costs, and the lack of physician-industry contacts.
