Hymans R.
Trade displays at medical conferences
New Zealand Medical Journal 1980; 92:329-330

Abstract:

Trade displays provide a large part of the funding of most conferences and this ensures that the registration fee paid by doctors attending are kept to a minimum. In recent years the industry has been hit with large cost increases and as a result now companies only attend those conferences where doctors are actively encouraged by the conference organizers to support the trade displays. The letter offers guidelines to assist conference organizers who want support from the pharmaceutical industry.
