Mailloud J.
The drug companies role in the supply of information
1975 May 30-31;

Abstract:

The function of the medical services department at Merck is to provide medical information, to review promotional material and to train sales representatives. The training includes information on ethics and standards and in addition, periodic refresher courses are encouraged. Dr. Mailloud described the workings of the Pharmaceutical Advertising Advisory Board. Finally, he stated that if standards are high and claims substantiated then advertising can be functional and attractive, plus it provides support for Canadian publications.
