Pharmacy Daily 2009 Dec 4
http://www.pharmacydaily.com.au

Full text:

THE ACCC has approved a tougher new Medicines Australia Code of Conduct.

The new Code has banned all brand name reminders on products that are commonly used outside of doctors’ surgeries, including pens, coffee mugs and notepads.

Bans have also been placed on prescription medicine advertisements within doctors prescription software.

Other changes include a rise in the maximum fine to $300,000 for breaching the Code, whilst any support provided to consumer groups must also now be disclosed on a company’s website.
